Meydan (Persian: ميدان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Mishkhas Rural District of Sivan District, Ilam County, Ilam province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was Jafarabad.[4]

[edit]The village is populated by Kurds.[5]
Population
[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 869 in 172 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 848 people in 202 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,046 people in 312 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Sivan District.[4]
